Privacy Policy

What data we collect, why, and how it is protected.

Please note: Ubuntu Crafts is a demonstration marketplace. This page describes how the platform is designed to handle data; it is a summary, not a complete legal policy. Review with a qualified professional before launching a live service.

What we collect

Account details you provide (name, email, phone), content you create (listings, messages, reviews), order and shipping information, and, for sellers, identity-verification (KYC) documents. We also collect basic technical data needed to run the site securely.

How we use it

To operate the marketplace: authenticate you, process and ship orders, enable buyer–seller messaging, review seller verification, send transactional notifications, and keep the platform safe. We do not sell your personal data.

Who can see it

Buyers and sellers see the information needed to complete a transaction (for example, a shipping address shared with the relevant seller). KYC documents are stored privately and reviewed only by administrators. Service providers (such as hosting and database) process data on our behalf.

Storage and security

Data is stored in our Supabase project with row-level security so people can only access records they are permitted to. KYC files live in a private storage bucket. No payment card data is handled or stored by Ubuntu Crafts.

Your choices

You can view and update much of your information from your account, manage notification preferences, and request help with your data through our Contact page. You may request deletion of your account.
